About the Author Lydia Hess looks to the natural world and iconic symbols for inspiration in her artwork. Her graphic montage images combine colorful monoprints, pen and ink scraped clayboard carvings, and antique engravings. She enjoys working on many different aspects of the creative process, including art directing, picture editing, designing, and illustrating. She currently does all of the above at Amber Lotus Publishing and loves the diversity and the opportunity to collaborate with other artists and image makers. Hopefully I can get each month colored ahead of time....they should sell these a little earlier in the year. But I am still pleased with my purchase. There is only one month I don’t like the picture. It’s of a snake, and not really a good one. I still think this is a five star purchase though. The paper is a nice white, the pictures are fantastic. I’m using pencils so far, but the paper is thick and I’d be surprised if ink soaked through.
